The context menu which is the small drop-down arrow next to a discussion topic has a number of items that you may use. This tutorial will explain each menu item. If you do not understand the Structure of the Discussion tool in MyCourses, you should review the tutorial on this subject.
Step-by-Step:
- Click on Submission Review on the Navbar
- Click on Discussions
- Click on the Title of a Topic
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to the name of the Discussion Topic
- View Topic in Grid View - This view will display all the posts within a single view
- Mark All Threads as Read - Marks all threads as read
- Mark All Threads as Unread - Marks all threads as unread
- Edit Topic - Allows you to edit the topic properties
- Assess Topic - If the topic is linked to a gradebook item, this is one way to assess the topics
- View Topic Statistics - Allows you to view topic level statistics for Users.
- Hide Description - This Hides the Description area
- Delete Topic - This will delete the topic
- View Topic in Grid View - This view will display all the posts within a single view
