Next to your own or any student's discussion post to a topic, there is a dropdown arrow that will appear to the right of the title of the discussion. This tutorial reviews the dropdown menu options for a discussion topic post.
Step-by-Step:
- Click on Submissions on the Navbar
- Click on Discussions
- Click on the Name of the Topic
- Click on the Name of the Thread
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to the name of a discussion post
- Context Menu and Explanations for each item:
Edit Thread - Allows you to edit the post properties Access Topic - Allows you to grade the topic Assess Student - Allows you to grade the students' posts and replies Mark All Posts As Read -Marks all posts as read Mark All Posts As Unread
-Marks all posts as unread Pin Thread
- Allows you to make sure a thread is the first one seen by students. This is useful if you want to make sure a thread you create does not get lost among the student's post Flag Thread
- If you set a thread(s) as flagged, you can easily filter all the threads quickly for those that are flagged View Post History - Allows you to see if a student has edited their post Copy Thread - Allows you to copy a thread Print Thread - Provides a single page to see all posts and replies from all students Delete Thread - Allows you to delete the entire thread including any replies
