Introduction
The Advanced Settings tab contains additional options that control how members interact with your community. Most communities can leave the default settings as-is, but you may want to adjust them based on how your organization manages membership and communication.

- Inside your community, select the Settings (gear) icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select the Advanced tab.
Membership Settings
These settings determine who can join or leave your community.
Who can join this community
Choose whether membership is open or by invitation only.
- Anyone – Any Titan Hub user can join the community.
- No one (only invited) – Users can only become members if they are invited or added by a Community Administrator.
Tip: Most student clubs and organizations should use No one (only invited) if membership is intended to be restricted to a specific group of students.
Who can leave this community
Choose whether members can remove themselves from the community.
- Anyone – Members may leave the community at any time.
- No one – Members cannot leave on their own and must be removed by a Community Administrator.
Welcome Notification
The Welcome Notification automatically sends a message to new members when they join your community.
To enable this feature:
- Toggle on on Send welcome notification.
- Type your welcome notification message. This will show up in your students' Titan Hub notifications when they are added to the group, to let them know.
- Save your changes.
When enabled, new members will automatically receive your community's welcome message after joining.
