Discover Communities in Titan Hub

Introduction

This guide is designed to help you find Communities to join in Titan Hub. The Global Search and Discover feature is one way to find and join Communities that align with your interests or needs. Whether you're looking to connect with Titans who share similar interests, participate in extracurricular activities, or collaborate on research projects, this guide will provide you with the tools and tips to efficiently locate the right Communities.

Find and Join a Public Community via Discover

  1. Click on the Discover icon in the Global Menu.
  2. Choose Communities.
  3. Review the full list or click on Any Category to filter the search by Community Category.
  4. Select Join Community to become a member of that Community. 
    Note: You can also click on the name of the Community and then click Join Community from the banner once inside of the Community.

Find and Join a Public Community Through Search

  1. Click in the Search Bar and type a keyword to search for a Community (1). Click the Communities button (2) to filter and how just Communities (otherwise pages, tools, etc will also show). Matches will appear below the Search Bar.

  2. Click on the specific Community  to join.
  3. Click Join Community in the upper right-hand corner of the Community cover image

Join a Private Community

Private Community membership is by invitation only and non-searchable. When a Community admin adds a user to a Community, the User will receive a notification and automatically become a Community Member.
 


Setup Community Notifications

We strongly recommend setting up the notifications for the Communities you're a member of. The video below demonstrates how to do this, using the Faculty Support Community as an example.
