This guide explains how to enable MyLab/MyMathLab/Pearson content with Respondus LockDown Browser in your Canvas course.
Overview
Pearson’s MyLab or MyMathLab allows instructors to deliver interactive content, while Respondus LockDown Browser ensures secure online assessments. By linking the two, instructors can create a secure testing environment for Pearson assignments in Canvas.

Create a Pearson Assignment
- In Canvas, navigate to Assignments.
- Select + Assignment and choose Pearson as the external tool.
- Customize the assignment details (title, points, due date, etc.) and save your changes.
- In Canvas, navigate to Assignments.

Enable Respondus LockDown Browser for the Assignment
- In Canvas, navigate to LockDown Browser under Course Navigation.
- Locate the Pearson assignment in the list.
- Click the arrow next to the assignment and choose Settings.
- Select Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam.
- Review and enable advanced settings as needed, then save changes.
- In Canvas, navigate to LockDown Browser under Course Navigation.

- If students cannot access the assignment, verify Pearson and Respondus integration settings.
- Ensure students have downloaded the Respondus LockDown Browser application and have proper browser permissions enabled.
