General Questions

What is Copyleaks, and why is it used?
Copyleaks is a plagiarism and AI detection tool that helps ensure academic integrity by analyzing assignments for originality. It scans submitted work against internal databases, internet resources, and AI-generated content.

What types of content can Copyleaks scan?
Copyleaks can scan text documents, handwritten files (if submitted digitally), and other standard file formats. For Canvas, handwritten submissions must first be converted into an acceptable digital format.

Does Copyleaks store submitted assignments?
Yes, assignments are securely stored in the Copyleaks database. This allows future submissions to be compared against previously submitted work to detect self-plagiarism.
