The HTML Editor integrates with all Learning Environment tools that have HTML content creation capabilities. For example, the HTML Editor is available when you edit discussion topics, create custom instructions for dropbox folders, and create content topics.
NOTE - This tutorial will show inserting a YouTube Video within a module file. Inserting a YouTube video will be added to any content that has the HTML editor available such as dropbox directions or feedback, quiz questions, etc.
Step-by-Step:
- Click on the location in MyCourses where you want to place the YouTube Video. (If you want it as a separate file, click on New. Then, Click create a File).
- Within the HTML editor, click on the Insert Stuff icon.
- Click YouTube
- Enter in some keywords for the type of video you are looking for within the search field
- Click Search
- The results will be displayed with a list of videos that match your keywords. (If you mouse over the video picture icon, you can click on the preview icon to preview the video to make sure it one you wish add.)
- Select the video you wish to add. (You will see it highlighted)
- Click Next
- Click Insert
- The YouTube video will now be embedded.
- Click Save and Close if you are done.
