  • IIncomplete submission
    The student started but did not fully submit the assignment.

     

  • Exclamation Point (!) inside a circleLate submission
    The student submitted after the due date. 

  • Exclamation Point (!) without circleNeeds grading / Manual grade required
    For assignments that cannot be auto-graded (like essays).

 

  • Paper iconSubmitted assignment
    Indicates the student has uploaded or entered a submission.

 

  • Chain link iconExternal tool submission
    The student submitted through an LTI tool (e.g., Turnitin, Panopto, or publisher content).

 

  • Speech bubble iconSubmission comment
    The student or instructor has left a comment on the submission.

 

  • Eye icon with a slashHidden grade
    The grade is currently hidden from students.
