Panopto is a powerful video platform that allows faculty to easily create, manage, and share video content with students. Whether you're recording lectures, providing walkthroughs of course materials, or embedding interactive quizzes, Panopto helps enhance student engagement and accessibility. With seamless integration into your LMS, videos can be securely shared, captioned for ADA compliance, and even tracked for student viewing analytics—making it an ideal tool for flipped classrooms, online learning, or supplementing in-person instruction.

 

Step by Step

  1. In Canvas, open your course.

  2. Select Third Party Tools.

  3. Click Panopto in the course navigation menu.

  4. Click the Create button, then select Upload Media and select your desired file.

  5. Wait for the upload to Complete, and Process.

  6. Click the Settings icon above the video Thumbnail.

    Select Share.

    Under Who can access this Video: Click Change.

    Note: Select Your Organization (unlisted)

  7. You can now copy the video URL or copy the Embed Code and insert into your course content.
