At St. Petersburg College (SPC), Panopto is integrated with Canvas to make it easy for instructors to create, manage, and share video content within their courses. Before using Panopto, there are a few important steps to activate your account and connect it with Canvas. This guide will walk you through the setup process and show you how to use the Panopto website to access your account, as well as create, organize, and share videos effectively.

Activating Your Panopto Account

Although Panopto is available to all college instructors, to activate your license, you must first complete an On-Demand Workshop: Into to Panopto. In it, you will find a link to a survey that you will complete after reviewing the materials. The ATST team will send you a follow up email with instructions after completion.

Register for and Complete the Faculty Panopto On-Demand Workshop

Important Note: Do NOT visit the Panopto Website (Titan Video) before completing the activation process, or you will be logged in as a viewer. Your account will not be set up correctly if you visit the website first without having us activate your account.

  1. Navigate to the Panopto On Demand course in Canvas. This is a self-enroll course, so when you select the hyperlink, you'll be routed to the course and given the option to self-enroll.
  2. Complete the course.
  3. Fill out the On-Demand Course Completion Survey form.
  4. Once the Academic Technology Support Team reviews your completion survey, we will activate your Panopto account.
