How to Show or Hide Canvas Course Card on your Dashboard

Hiding or showing courses on your Canvas dashboard helps keep it organized and focused. You might hide courses you no longer teach or don’t need frequent access to, while showing active or upcoming courses ensures they’re easy to find. This customization streamlines your workflow and saves time navigating Canvas.

Step by Step

1. Open your Canvas dashboard.
    
2. Click the Courses link in the global navigation menu.
   
   
   
    
3. Select All Courses from the dropdown menu.
   
   
   
    
4. Locate the course you want to show or hide. 
   
   Click the star next to the course name:
   • Starred courses will appear on your dashboard.
      
   • Unstarred courses will not appear.
     
     
      

Note: Dashboard changes may take place immediately, or could take a day to take effect.
