PeopleSoft (PS) Navigation: Records and Enrollment > Transfer Credit Evaluation > External
Education
- Type in student ID number and click Search
- Click through the External Education record until you are on the appropriate school record.
- If the *Action under Transcript Status shows “Desired”, enter the following information on the
External Education tab You will do this when receiving either a High School or College transcript:

▪ Transcript Type:
▪ Transcript Status:
▪ Data Source:
▪ Data Medium:

Current Date
Official
Final*
School
Hard Copy**
* Indicate “Final” for College transcript that do not have any In-Progress coursework listed; indicate “Final” for High school transcripts that have the diploma awarded. Otherwise leave as Incomplete.
**Use for both hard-copy printed and PDF transcripts
- If the High School transcript shows the diploma has been awarded or the College transcript
reflects a degree has been earned, complete the following at the bottom of the Courses and
Degrees tab
Under Degree 1 sub-tab:
▪ Use the spyglass to choose the degree awarded
▪ Enter the date the degree was awarded
Under Degree2 sub-tab:
▪ Data Source:
▪ Degree Status:
▪ Click SaveSchool

MPORTANT: It is CRITICAL you indicate the *Data Source is “School”. When an official transcript is correctly recorded on the External Education record.
(1) closes out the corresponding Checklist Item.
(2) ensure the transcript is listed on the Transcript Priority report when the student is eligible for evaluation.
(3) is recognized systemwide as being an “official” transcript.
A student should ONLY have one row for the high school diploma or degree earned. If there is a self-reported row, update it. Do not enter a second row.
