This guide reviews how you can download a Dropbox submission, add feedback, and then upload it again to Dropbox in the form of an attachment. Some faculty prefer this method to using an annotation tool, consider both methods.
NOTE: Uploading an attachment of student work will not grade the submission. It will just appear as an attachment to the student in the feedback area of Dropbox.
Step-by-Step: Download Student Submission
- Click on Submission Review on the Navbar
- Click on Dropboxes
- Click on the Title/Name of the Dropbox folder
- Click on the blue title of the student’s submission

- The evaluation page will open. Click the down arrow next to the word Download, and then select Download Original. This downloads the submission in its original file format.

- This will take you back to the list of student submissions.
Step-by-Step: Uploading a Submission To Dropbox (After Markup)
Once you have made your edits and comments on the submission and are ready to upload to your course, follow the steps below. Make sure you have saved your changes

- Click on Submissions on the Navbar

- Click on Dropboxes

- Click on the Title/Name of the Dropbox Folder

- Click on the Student Submission you wish to grade

- Scroll to the bottom right side of the Dropbox evaluation screen and click the upload file icon in the Overall Feedback area.
- Drag the file to the upload area or click the Upload button and select the admended submission from your computer's files.

- The attachment will now appear under the word "Attachments"

- Click Publish
