This tutorial reviews how to hide different items in your course. You can hide and unhide content at any time in the course. You may want to do so while you prepare content or before/after when you would like students to be able to access it.

Step-by-Step: Hide a Module

Hiding a module does NOT hide the quizzes, discussions, or Dropboxes inside that module. The activities inside of a module should be hidden as well so students cannot access it through the Submission Review area.

  1. Click on the Module in the Table of Contents
  2. Click on the eyeball iconeye.png
  3. Click on the eyeball again to change the visibility. Attachment-2.png You will now see the eyeball with the line through it. That means it is hidden.

Step-by-Step: Hide a Topic

  1. Next to the item that you wish to draft, click on the drop-down arrow dropdown example.png

  2. Click on Hide from Users

Step-by-Step: Hide Multiple Topics

  1. Click on the Module in the Table of Contents

  2. Click on Bulk Edit
  3. Click on the eyeball icon for each topiceye.png

  4. Click on the eyeball again to change the visibility for each topic
