Special Access for Dropboxes allows for a specific student or group of students to access a dropbox outside of course due date. For example, if a student has an excused absence the week the Dropbox is due, you can set up special access for the student to submit the dropbox when they return. 

 

Step-by-Step: 

  1. Click on Submissions on the Navbar
  2. Click on Dropboxes
  3. Click on the drop-down arrow next to the dropbox
  4. Click on Edit Folder
  5. Click on the Availability Dates and Conditions arrow on the right of your screen.

     
  6. Under the Special Access section, click on the Manage Special Access button.
     
  7. Click on the Add Users to Special Access button; a new pop-up window will appear. 
  8. Under Properties, change the dates and times accordingly. 
  9. Scroll down and check the box next to the student(s) the special access dates should be applied to.
  10. Click the Save button to confirm and close pop-up window. 
  11. Click the Save and Close button to confirm and return to the Dropbox folder.
