Adding and Editing a Standard Syllabus in Your Course (Not a Simple Syllabus)

There are a few ways to add a syllabus to or edit a syllabus in your course.

The steps below describe the most common ways to update your course syllabus. If you have any questions, please email mycourses4faculty@spcollege.edu for assistance. 

Adding and Editing a Syllabus Quick Video (2 minutes)


Step-by-Step: Edit an Existing Syllabus Page (HTML) 

Note: This is usually the type of syllabus present in a course that uses Standard Content. This is sometimes referred to as a standard course. Follow the steps below to modify syllabus that is not an attachment.

  1. Click on Course Content on the Navbar

  2. Click on the Begin Here module under Table of Contents

  3. Click the down arrow next to Syllabus 

     
  4. Click Edit HTML

  5. Make the necessary changes

  6. Click Save and Close

  7. Check to make sure your changes are reflected under the Syllabus tab at the top of Course Content


Step-by-Step: Upload a Syllabus as a Document Attachment

  1. Click on Course Content on the Navbar
  2. Click on Syllabus
     
  3. Click on dropdown arrow next to Syllabus 

  4. Click on Add an Attachment

  5. Click on My Computer

  6. Click on Upload to locate the file or drag the file in the dotted area. 

  7. Click on Add (You will now see your syllabus)


Step-by-Step: Replace an Existing Syllabus Attachment File 

  1. Click on Course Content on the Navbar

  2. Click on Syllabus 
     
  3. Click on the dropdown arrow next to Syllabus



  4. Click on Change the attachment

  5. Click on My Computer

  6. You can either drag the file from your computer or click on Upload and find the file

  7. Click on Add (You will now see you new syllabus displayed)
