If you need to copy only specific components from an existing Simple Syllabus into a new course, you can select the individual components you want to import rather than importing the entire syllabus.

Step 1: Open Simple Syllabus

  1. Open the course where you want to add the Simple Syllabus content.
  2. Open Simple Syllabus.
  3. Select Edit.

  4. Select Import.

  5. Use the Term and Course Prefix fields to narrow your search.

  6. You can also add your name or a fellow faculty members name to quickly locate a syllabus you created.
    NOTE: This will narrow the search allowing you to only view the syllabi you or a colleague have created.

  7. Locate the syllabus you want to use. Select the course to open its available content.

  8. To import specific components: Turn on the component selection option. Then, select the individual components you want to bring into your new course.
    NOTE: Selecting specific components allows you to reuse only the information you need without replacing or importing the entire syllabus.

  9. Review the components you selected.

  10. Select Finalize.

  11. The selected content will be imported into your Simple Syllabus.
