If you need to copy only specific components from an existing Simple Syllabus into a new course, you can select the individual components you want to import rather than importing the entire syllabus.
Step 1: Open Simple Syllabus
- Open the course where you want to add the Simple Syllabus content.
- Open Simple Syllabus.
- Select Edit.
- Select Import.
- Use the Term and Course Prefix fields to narrow your search.
- You can also add your name or a fellow faculty members name to quickly locate a syllabus you created.
NOTE: This will narrow the search allowing you to only view the syllabi you or a colleague have created. - Locate the syllabus you want to use. Select the course to open its available content.

To import specific components: Turn on the component selection option. Then, select the individual components you want to bring into your new course.
NOTE: Selecting specific components allows you to reuse only the information you need without replacing or importing the entire syllabus. - Review the components you selected.
- Select Finalize.
- The selected content will be imported into your Simple Syllabus.
