This guide will give you a walkthrough on converting an already-made quiz into a Respondus-enabled quiz.

▶IMPORTANT: LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor – Start of Semester Reminder
At the beginning of each semester, instructors should open the LockDown Browser Dashboard and verify that all exam settings are correct and active in their course and don't forget to click Save.
When a course is copied, LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor settings may not be fully activated until the Dashboard is accessed and reviewed.
If settings are not verified before students begin testing, exams may be accessible through a standard web browser without requiring LockDown Browser or the webcam check.
Please review the Dashboard and confirm your quiz and exam settings are enabled prior to the first scheduled assessment.
Step By Step
- Select your Course from the Canvas Dashboard.
- Select LockDown Browser
- Select the down arrow next to the Quiz you would like to have Proctored.
Select Settings
- Click to enable Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this Exam
- Now Select the settings you would like to enable for the Proctored test.

1. Enable the Correct record settings
2. Would you like to Live Proctor? if so select the Check box
3. Enable the desired Start up sequence Options
4. For best results leave all options Enabled in Face Detection Options
5. Select the Plus to access Advanced Setting for additional option
- Advanced Settings, Select any options that are relevant to the testing experience you would like to enable.
Important: If you are enabling any of these options PLEASE notify your Students for best results.

Select Save + Close
- Refresh the Page, You will see the Quiz is Required to use Respondus Monitor.
- Make Sure the Quiz is Published.
Select Quizzes>Publish quiz
