Gradebook Settings: Student Display Options

 

In the overall settings for the gradebook, you can select the Student Display Options tab and control a number of settings that affect the student experience. 


Step-by-Step:

  1. Click on Grades on the Navbar

  2. Click on Settings 
  3. Select the Student Display Options tab from the settings options. 



    Student Display Options- These settings affect the students view of the gradebook.

    • Decimals Displayed - Number of decimal places to display - This setting controls how many decimals will be displayed to a user grading a course. The value must be an integer between 0 and 5.


    • Grades Details

      • Points grade - This setting determines whether the Points grade value associated with a grade item is displayed in the user list by default

      • Grade scheme symbol - This setting determines whether or not the Grade scheme symbol associated with a grade item is displayed in the user list

      • Grade scheme color - This setting determines whether or not the grade scheme color associated with a grade item is displayed in the user list

        • Note:  The Grade scheme color can only be displayed if the grade scheme symbol is also displayed)



    • Number of characters to display for text items - This setting determines how many characters of a grade item or category display on the user list.  The limit may be overridden for Text grade items.  The value must be an integer between 0 and 50.  If the text is longer than the value specified, it will be truncated.



    • Final Grade Calculation - Display how final grade was calculated - This setting determines whether users can see how their final grade was calculated in the student view of Grades.


       
    • ePortfolio Artifacts - Allow users to add their grades to their ePortfolio- This setting determines whether users with the appropriate permissions can import their grade to their ePortfolios as course artifacts.
