This reviews how you can use Turnitin's annotation tool to add feedback directly on the student's paper and grade that paper. MyCourses also has its own annotation tool that works similarly.
Step-by-Step:
- Click on Submission Review on the Navbar
- Click on Dropboxes
- Click on the name of the Dropbox you wish to view submissions
- Under the Turnitin Similarity column, you will see a percentage number and color next to each file submitted. Click on this icon.
- The students' report will open in a new window. From the Feedback Studio, you can edit the students document using the toolbar on the right or just click in the document. To learn more about the Commenting Tools, click on link from Turnitin - Commenting Tools
- When you are done editing the document and are ready to grade, in the top right, enter a grade.
- Click outside of the grade box for it to save.
- To return to D2L, close the tab or click on your Mycourses tab. (You might need to refresh your screen to see the grade)
- When you are ready to publish the feedback for your students to access, check to box next to each student or select the all students at the top you wish to publish.
- Click on Publish Feedback.
- Click on Yes (Your students will now be able to see all your edits and feedback)
