Introduction

Canvas Ask Your Data is an AI powered analytics tool included as part of Intelligent Insights in Canvas. It allows admins and educators to explore Canvas data using natural language instead of writing SQL or technical queries. You can ask questions like “Which students have not logged in this week?” and receive visual results with clear explanations of how the data was generated. This guide is SPC's landing page for all information regarding Ask Your Data.

To access Ask Your Data, login to your admin account for Canvas (not your lastname.firstname account). You may need to use a different browser than you usually use. Select Admin from the global navigation (1), select Analytics Hub (2), and then select Ask Your Data (3).
