What is Canvas Badges Backpack?

The Canvas Badges Backpack allows you to view all your Canvas-earned badges, share them, and organize them into collections. Badges awarded through Canvas Badges/Credentials are synced into your backpack, while badges from other sources can be manually uploaded.

How do I setup my Canvas Badges Backpack account? 

  1. Login to SPC's Canvas instance by selecting the Canvas widget in the Titan Hub or navigating to http://canvas.spcollege.edu. 

  2. From your left Canvas Navigation Bar, select Backpack. If your screen is zoomed out, you may not see the word Backpack, but you will see the icon of a trophy. It is above the Help icon (which is a question mark inside a circle). 



  3. This will bring up a screen that says Email Verification Required. Click Send code. This will send a verification code to your SPC email.
  4. Navigate to your SPC email and find the email with the verification code (you can copy the code). Navigate back to Canvas, type (or paste) the verification code into the verification window, and click Verify. Now your accounts are linked.


  5. You can view your Canvas badges anytime by navigating to SPC's Canvas instance and selecting Backpack from the navigation menu. You can 1. search by name, 2. filter by active/inactive badges, or 3. filter by issuers. 

  6. Select the ellipses in the top right corner of an individual badge to print, download, share, or export the badge.
