Introduction
This guide explains the badge/credential setup process in Canvas. We are really gatekeeping badges/credentials at St. Petersburg College moving forward since they are now public-facing and represent SPC as an institution. This is a departure from the way things have been in the past, and we appreciate your consideration as we navigate this new process.
Step-by-Step
- Login to Canvas, navigate to your course, and locate Credentials from the course navigation (under the Third Party Tools section. Hover your cursor over Credentials, and select the hyperlinked word "request" to open up the Canvas Credentials survey.
- Fill out the survey. Please add as much detail as possible, and email copies of the badges used in MyCourses (if applicable) atst@spcollege.edu. After the survey submission is received, it will go through a review process, and the instructor will be notified if the badge is approved or not.
- If the badge is approved, the instructor will be sent another form to fill out to provide the details of the badge that needs to be created.
