Introduction
This guide outlines the process for setting up badges/credentials in Canvas. Moving forward, St. Petersburg College is implementing stricter oversight of badges/credentials, as they are now public-facing and represent SPC as an institution. This marks a change from previous procedures, and we appreciate your cooperation as we transition to this new process.
Step-by-Step

Access the Credentials Tool
- Log in to Canvas and navigate to your course.
- Under Third-Party Tools, locate Credentials.

Hover over Credentials and click the hyperlinked word "request" to open the Canvas Credentials Survey.

Complete the Survey
- Fill out the survey with as much detail as possible.
- If applicable, email copies of badges used in MyCourses to atst@spcollege.edu.

Review Process
- Once submitted, your request will undergo review.
- You will be notified whether the badge is approved or denied.

If Approved
- You will receive a follow-up form to provide details for badge creation.
