This guide will give you a walkthrough on converting an already-made quiz into a Respondus-enabled quiz.

Make sure to visit the Faculty Respondus FAQ for Canavas

Step By Step

  1. Select your Course from the Canvas Dashboard.

  2. Select LockDown Browser

  3. Select the down arrow next to the Quiz you would like to have Proctored.

    Select Settings

  4. Click to enable Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this Exam

  5. Now Select the settings you would like to enable for the Proctored test.

    To Learn More about all the Respondus Settings, Click Here

    1. Enable the Correct record settings
    2. Would you like to Live Proctor? if so select the Check box
    3. Enable the desired Start up sequence Options
    4. For best results leave all options Enabled in Face Detection Options
    5. Select the Plus to access Advanced Setting for additional option


  6. Advanced Settings, Select any options that are relevant to the testing experience you would like to enable. 

    Important: If you are enabling any of these options PLEASE notify your Students for best results.

  7. Select Save + Close

  8. Refresh the Page, You will see the Quiz is Required to use Respondus Monitor.

  9. Make Sure the Quiz is Published.

    Select Quizzes>Publish quiz
