Release Conditions: Releasing a News Item Based on a Quiz Score

Release conditions can be used to make your course more adaptive to your student's activities and tailor their experience. A bonus of release conditions is that they can be tweaked and reused term to term. In this tutorial, we will create a news item with a release condition based on a quiz score.

 

Step-by-Step: 

  1. Click on Course Home on the Navbar
  2. Click on the drop-down arrow news dropdown.pngnext to News
  3. Click on New News Item
  4. Enter a Headline for the news item
  5. Enter your Message in the Content* box
  6. Enter Start/End date to control the date range in which the announcement displays
  7. Click on Create and Attach under Additional Release Conditions
  8. Click on --Select Condition Type --select condition type.png
  9. Click on Score on a Quiz
  10. Click on --Select Quiz-- select quiz.png
  11. Click on the Quiz
  12. Select the Criteria criteria.png
  13. Enter the Grade
  14. Click on Create
  15. Click on Publish
