The Import/Export/Copy Components tool allows you to copy content from one course. These steps will copy an entire course into another shell. Make sure that there is no other content in the course before copying.
Important: Make sure you are in your empty course shell before proceeding with the following task. Copying content will not replace any content that is already in your shell.
Step-by-Step:
- Click on the More tab in the Navigation bar
- Click on Edit Course
- Click on Import/Export/Copy Course
- On this page, leave the default option "copy from another org unit" selected and click Search for Offering
- The Select Course Offering screen will appear
- In the Search for Textbox, type keywords for the course you want to copy the module from. This can include the name and section number of the course.
- Click Search or press the Enter key on your keyboard
- Click on the radio button to the left of the name of the course you would like to copy from
- Click on Add Selected. You will return to the original copy content page.
- Click on Copy All Components **DO NOT CLICK SELECT COMPONENTS**
- You will see an image (like the one below), as your course copy is being conducted. When it is complete, you will see date and time it was completed.
Note: It can sometimes take a few moments to copy course content, so please be patient.
You may now begin to work inside your course with the new copied content.
