Introduction

This guide outlines the process for setting up badges/credentials in Canvas using the Parchment Badges tool. Moving forward, St. Petersburg College is implementing stricter oversight of badges/credentials, as they are now public-facing and represent SPC as an institution. This marks a change from previous procedures, and we appreciate your cooperation as we transition to this new process.

Requesting and Setting Up Badges

  1. Complete the Parchmet Badge Request Survey
    1. Fill out the survey with as much detail as possible.
    2. If applicable, email copies of badges used previously to atst@spcollege.edu.
  2. Review Process
    1. Once submitted, your request will undergo review.
    2. You will be notified via email whether the badge is approved or denied.
  3. If Approved
    1. You will receive a follow-up form to provide details for badge creation.
