What is Folio (Portfolium)?

Folio, powered by Portfolium, is a digital portfolio platform integrated into Canvas. It provides students with a professional space to document skills, achievements, and learning outcomes, which can be showcased to future employers or academic programs. Faculty can leverage Folio to create assignments that emphasize skill-building and evidence-based learning, offering a dynamic way to assess and reflect on students' growth.



Key Features of Folio

  • Portfolio Creation: Students can design and organize personalized portfolios, integrating projects, coursework, and extracurricular achievements.

  • Seamless Integration with Canvas: Assignments can be linked to Folio, streamlining submission and evaluation.

  • Skill Tracking: Students can document skills gained throughout their academic journey, categorized by tags or keywords for easy reference.

  • Collaboration Tools: Students can work together on group projects to create shared portfolios.

  • Professional Networking: Folio allows students to connect their profiles to platforms like LinkedIn, enhancing their professional presence.



How to Access Folio

  1. Via Canvas:

    • Log in to your Canvas account.

    • Click on the Account button in the Global Navigation Menu.

Using Folio in Courses

Portfolio Assignments:

  • Assign tasks that require students to upload capstone projects, research presentations, or creative work to Folio.
