This tutorial reviews downloading a previously recorded Zoom meeting. Meetings recorded to the Cloud will be available to share and download for six months after the video is created. After six months, the recording will move to the trash bin in your Zoom account. 

Cloud recordings are intended for short-term storage and use. For long-term storage, videos should be stored on Panopto or YouTube.

To Download from MyCourses 

If you have used the Zoom integration in MyCourses to host your Zoom meetings, you can access and download your Zoom Cloud recordings from the same area.

  1. Click into the course where the Zoom meeting is located.

  2. Click on Course Content.

  3. Locate and click on the Zoom Web Conferencing link (i.e. this is the link you and your students use to access the Zoom meetings).

  4. Click the Cloud Recordings tab.

5. Click on the title of the recording you would like to download. 

6. You will have two options:  Recording - includes the full recording with audio or Audio-Only - includes only the audio

7. Click Download under the recording image.

 

8. Save the file to your computer.

9. Upload the file to YouTube, Panopto, or your preferred video storage site (for training on using YouTube or Ensemble, please register for an On-Demand workshop).

 

IMPORTANT: Videos should never be uploaded directly into MyCourses

 

To Download from the Zoom Site


If you are scheduling your meetings via the Zoom website, you will need to access your recordings there as well.

  1. Go to https://spcollege.zoom.us/

  2. Click Sign In

  3. Login using your SPC college email and password.

  4. Click Recordings (left-hand side of the page).

5. Click the title of the meeting you would like to download.

6. Click Download.

7. You will be able to download two files, an .mp4 (full recording with audio) and an .m4a (audio only). You only need to download the .mp4 file.

8. Save the file to your computer.

9. Upload the file to Youtube, Panopto, or your preferred video storage site. For training on using YouTube or Ensemble, register for an On-Demand workshop.
