St. Petersburg College uses the Learning Management System MyCourses (powered by D2L). One of the first steps in becoming an SPC faculty member is achieving your required Faculty Certification for MyCourses, here is how to find your course.
Faculty Certification for MyCourses consists of nine modules and can be completed entirely online. There is no facilitator, but you are asked to reach out to MyCourses4Faculty@spcollege.edu when you have completed the course work in order to be issued certification.
Every new faculty and adjunct is set up with their individualized Certification Practice Course where they will make modifications to the course in order to learn MyCourses from a technical perspective.
Step-by-Step:
- Open Firefox or Google Chrome (These are the preferred browsers for MyCourses)
- Go to the website: www.spcollege.edu
- Click on Titan Login located in the top right
- Enter your SPC Username and Password
- Click on Sign in
- Click MyCourses on the left-side menu
- At the top of the page, click on the Waffle Menu Icon
- Scroll down and locate the course titled Faculty Certification for MyCourses- Your Name
- Click on the pin (This will ensure that it will be on your homepage for easy access the next time)
- Click on the Title
- Review the information in the News area, and follow those instructions to begin the Course
